1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the International Association of Hypnotherapist Registration (“IAHR”) website, membership, services, and associated materials. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. Membership Eligibility

2.1. Student Membership: Available to students enrolled in hypnotherapy training courses that meet the IAHR’s minimum training criteria.

2.2. Licentiate Membership: Open to individuals who meet the required training criteria but have not attended an IAHR-approved course.

2.3. Full Membership: Available to hypnotherapists trained at IAHR-approved schools or those with relevant experience and training.

2.4. Senior Therapist Membership: Granted to members who have been practicing for 10 years as an IAHR member.

2.5. Fellow Membership: By invitation only, based on significant contributions to hypnotherapy or the IAHR.

2.6. Retired Membership: Available to former practicing members who wish to remain connected to the profession.

3. Membership Application

3.1. Applicants must submit accurate and complete information.

3.2. IAHR reserves the right to verify the qualifications and experience of applicants.

3.3. Membership approval is at the sole discretion of the IAHR.

4. Membership Fees

4.1. Membership fees are non-refundable.

4.2. Fees must be paid annually and in full at the time of application or renewal.

4.3. Failure to pay fees on time may result in suspension or termination of membership.

5. Member Obligations

5.1. Members must adhere to the IAHR’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

5.2. Members are expected to maintain accurate and up-to-date contact information.

5.3. Members must notify the IAHR of any changes in their professional status.

6. Use of IAHR Materials

6.1. Members may use IAHR logos and materials in accordance with the guidelines provided by the IAHR.

6.2. Unauthorized use of IAHR materials is prohibited.

6.3. Members must not misrepresent their membership status or qualifications.

7. Professional Conduct

7.1. Members must practice hypnotherapy in a manner consistent with the standards set by the IAHR.

7.2. Members are responsible for obtaining appropriate liability insurance.

7.3. The IAHR may investigate any allegations of professional misconduct and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of membership.

8. Events and Publications

8.1. Members may attend IAHR events, such as regional meetings, the Annual Conference, and CPD seminars.

8.2. The IAHR will provide members with copies of its annual journal, The Hypnotherapist.

8.3. Event fees and participation are subject to availability and may require additional payment.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

9.1. The IAHR is committed to protecting the privacy of its members and will process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

9.2. Members consent to the IAHR holding and processing their personal data for the purposes of administering membership and providing services.

10. Termination of Membership

10.1. Members may terminate their membership at any time by notifying the IAHR in writing.

10.2. The IAHR reserves the right to terminate membership for breach of these Terms, failure to adhere to the Code of Ethics, or non-payment of fees.

10.3. Upon termination, all rights and privileges of membership cease immediately.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1. The IAHR is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its services or membership.

11.2. The IAHR does not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party content or services accessed through its website or events.

12. Amendments

12.1. The IAHR reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

12.2. Members will be notified of significant changes to the Terms.

12.3. Continued use of IAHR services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

13.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the IAHR is registered.

13.2. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
